as you might have seen in my feed news thread, the AutoPin Plugin was removed from the gutemine Feed. The reason for this action were statements from users in the DP board, that it is hypocritical to offer such a plugin.
The difference to other Plugins, which were also removed from my feed (like EPGImport, off, Mr.Big, dBackup, BarryAllen) is that here there ARE no real technical, license or legal reasons.
On the other hand, because of the sheer complexity and necessary deep understanding of the underlying DreamOS functionality, the chance that anybody will produce a satisfying replacement of AutoPin in a reasonable time without heavily copying my code (and probably continue to call it AutoPin to get the credits for such doubtful action, which would again violate my right as the Author) is low, therefore I decided to create the Pineas Plugin.
Pineas Plugin will be available to be downloads here from the sourceforge File section ONLY for a few days. It has NO dependencies and offers the necessary functionality with some minor limitations:
- there is NO Pineas Plugin Webinterface
-all buttons are permanently shown, because this makes the skinning easier
- it contains NO code for Open* Images and supports ONLY DreamOS
- it has NO maintainer, as I will NOT develop it any further or offer ANY support for it
-it uses the same license than the Merlin Plugins:
•Creative Commons Attrbution-NonComercial-SahreAlike 3.0 Unported License
•this license is also limited to Hardware of Dream Property GmbH.
Hopefully Pineas Plugin works without any problems or cashes, because as I said - this is now my LAST effort in this matter.
